God doesn't allow Moses or any of the generation of Israelites who left Egypt to cross over the Jordan River into the promised land. Why not? What went wrong?
Moses makes his final speech to the Israelites, reflecting on what has gone wrong, calling them back in obedience to all that God has commanded them. And he tells them to remember and repeat the story of God.
This sermon reflects on the importance of the stories we tell ourselves. Because it’s our stories that determine how we understand the nature of reality and therefore who we will become.
